“HOMO” is a word that makes up the word homo sapiens, which means human beings. Homo means the human genus, and sapiens means wisdom.
This work begins with the question of what the state of modern humanity is, and explores it.
First, various things are removed from humanity, and then elements are slowly added to the shell of humanity, making it a grand journey to explore the origins of humanity.
After removing wisdom, emotions, sensibility, voice, religion, and communication, the journey unravels the physical nature of humans and attempts to regain intelligence from there.
The concept of the work is to explore where the obsession with being “HOMO” comes from, where we are, and where we are going, by approaching it through various physical expressions including dance, and exploring the excessive development of civilization that humanity is facing, and the peace that primitive humanity desires.
Inspired by Stanley Kubrick’s “2001: A Space Odyssey,” the work expresses the development of human intelligence and the changes in the environment surrounding it.
